As you can see, Nathan T. Woods, the owner and operator
of Santa Barbara Pet Services has been working with animals since he was a child. He has won countless awards and
honors for his work with canines.
Nathan had the great privilege and honor of apprenticing under
professional dog handler, Ricky Justice while he campaigned the magnificent:
BIS Ch Rummer Run's Stardust (pictured
above and below)
She is proudly owned and bred by Steve
and Ann Anderson of Atlanta, GA.
During her career, she won 27 All Breed
Best in Show Awards. She won the ABC Top 20 Competition in 1997 and was BOB at the American Boxer Club Regional in 1997.
Stardust was ranked #2 Boxer in the U.S. in 1998 and 1999, and she was ranked #4 Working Dog in 1999.
Apprenticing under some of the top dog handlers and trainers in the nation, Nathan
Woods has learned effective training methods to help you establish an understanding relationship with your pet companion.
Nathan started off his apprentership program under professional handler, Connie Alexander (pictured above
and below) which owns Kachina Kennels. Although she mainly handled Dobermans and Whippets, she helped put
most of the points on Nathan's first champion Boxer, Michaela.
On May 1999, when Nathan was 20 years old, he set out to California.
Although a bit late for the gold rush, he found paradise here in Santa Barbara. Upon arrival in SB, he immediately got a job
working at the Pet House, 967-7716, where he stayed for 2 years until becoming self employed.
When Nathan is not practicing business, he is studying it. He recently
fiinished three Associates Degree at Santa Barbara City College (www.sbcc.edu). They were in Business Administration, Economics, and Liberal Studies. In
Fall of 2004, Nathan transfered to California State University, Channel Islands (www.csuci.edu) to work on his Bachelors Degree in Business. He graduated May 20, 2006.
